Jambo Adventuresome Travelers!

I am thrilled that you have found your way to the Kenya Educational Service Trips (KEST) web site. I trust that you will take your time to explore all of the information at your fingertips and as a result, answer the call to travel to Kenya.

These two-week trips give travelers an eclectic look at Kenya…rural, urban and suburban settings…the beauty of the wild, wide open spaces and the rush of traffic…opportunities for volunteerism and sight seeing…exposure to culture, economics and politics… education to poverty, health issues and the re-invented family structure. Days and nights will be filled with learning and delight.

The trips are based around the three Nyumbani Programs- the Children’s Home, Lea Toto Outreach Centers and the Kitui Village. I will spread the news to the children and staff that I am bringing special friends back to Kenya with me on my next visit. They will await your arrival with great anticipation and excitement. Just be prepared to be loved nearly to death! The children’s unconditional acceptance and warm welcome is still hard for me to fathom. Just by being present at Nyumbani sites, the children and staff will know that you care about them and the love affair will commence.
